Hi,

Thanks for the quick response about the oil.

How many quarts does the 11.1L hold with filters changed too? It is not listed in any of my books. They refer me to an engine owners manual that I don't have.

Again, thanks in advance,

Fred

I always start out at 32 quarts and add as necessary.... then I mark it someplace easy to see with a paint marker.

just a tip if you dont already know. when changing oil, instead of loosening oil filters & have oil drain down the sides of the filters, do what most of us do & take a puch & a hammer & punch a hole on the bottom of both oil filters & let drain from there into oil pan. then take oil filters off. this way not much mess at all.

And Make sure to physically check each filter nipple and make sure it is screwed all the way in before you install the new filter! They are famous for backing out and unscrewing as you take off the old filter. If you don't check them you could lose a filter and lose a engine!!

And make sure the old gasket comes off with the old filter. Two gaskets aren't better than one!!!

Hi,

Been offline for a few days. Thanks so much for the advice on the gaskets and nipples. Where will I find those nipples? Are they something that screws into the filter receiver housing?

Thanks again,

Fred

Yes the nipples are what the filter screws in to. Just make sure after you remove the old filters that the nipples didn't back out as you unscrewed the filter.
